A Rough Guide

Pirates on the shore of Penzance have an apprentice, Fredrick.  Believing his indentures to be at an end he is to leave the pirate band.  He departs with his erstwhile nurse, Ruth, the only women he has ever seen.

On shore he comes across a group of young maidens.  The nurse's future plans are foiled as Fredrick falls in love with Mabel.

We have a Pirate King attempting to bring Fredrick back to the pirate band, on a technicality and with the girls in peril from the pirates.  Meanwhile Major-General Stanley, their guardian, tries to keep decorum...with the aid (or not) of the local constabulary.
 

Last Performed in 2003, Previously performed along side Cox and Box in 1993.
